Improving sleep

  • no sugar, caffeine, alcohol within a few hours before bed
  • avoid screens an hour before bed
  • avoid stimulating, high focus requiring activities before bed
  • avoid unrelated activities in bed
  • adequate exercise and sunlight
  • keep bedroom dark, cool, quiet
    • use white noise to block distracting sounds
  • go to bed and wake up at the same time every day
